Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan: A Visual Profile

About This Series
World Anti-Extremism Network (WAEN) is launching a Monthly Infographic Project to provide accessible, evidence-based insights into militant groups and authoritarian regimes, and the evolving dynamics across the region. This initiative aims to translate complex information into concise visual formats that support informed public discourse, research, and policy engagement.

Who is TTP?
This edition of the series analyzes Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), a militant alliance formed in 2007 following Pakistan’s military operations in the former FATA and later restructured under successive leadership. Over time, the group has evolved in its organizational setup and operational focus, with recent reporting indicating continued activity concentrated in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

This series will be updated monthly with new infographics, each focusing on a different militant group or security-related development.
