Terence Shen is a prominent social media influencer who launched his YouTube channel, “Mr. Shen,” in 2019. It quickly became one of the leading political platforms in the Mandarin-speaking world, covering topics such as Indo-Pacific affairs, international relations, and Chinese politics.

Through “Mr. Shen,” Terence provides insightful analysis of contemporary events and their connections to China, exposing misinformation and distorted narratives perpetuated by the Chinese Communist regime and its state media. The Toronto Star describes it as “a Toronto man’s crusade against China’s propaganda.”

Terence Shen holds an undergraduate degree in East Asian Studies from the University of Toronto and a Master’s degree from the Centre for East Asian Studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
