Sayed Mustafa Saiedy

Secretary

Sayed Mustafa Saiedy is the Secretary of World Anti Extremism Network. He holds a Master’s degree in Persian language and literature from Kabul University, as well as a master’s degree in public administration and Human Resource Management from ISBM University in India, and is actively pursuing his Ph.D Persian literature. In addition, he has contributed and authored a number of books, published within Afghanistan.

With over two decades of experience, Saiedy has held various key positions in both government and non-government organizations, including Chairman of the board at the Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO), Director of Cultural Affairs at Kabul Municipality, Director of Programs and Youth Policy Development at the Deputy Ministry of Youth Affairs, Vice-Chancellor at Rana University, Adviser with the Afghanistan President’s Special Representative Office, and volunteer manager for the durable solutions working group for newcomer refugees in the USA and Canada at the Forced Migration Studies Center for Afghanistan. He has also been a Senior Advisor on Policy Affairs and Head of the Think Tank Committee at Afghan Network for Social Services in Canada.

Throughout his career, Saiedy has been actively engaged in cultural endeavors, contributing over 200 research papers and articles to both national and international journals. Beyond his prolific writing, he has been a dedicated advocate for peacebuilding, human rights, and freedom, while also serving as a journalist and university lecturer. His commitment to countering extremism in Afghanistan has been unwavering, prompting his relocation from the country when the Taliban seized control.

Saiedy’s remarkable achievements have earned him numerous prestigious awards from national and international institutions.
