
Joanna Baron

Joanna Baron is the Executive Director of the Canadian Constitution Foundation, a national legal charity dedicated to defending fundamental freedoms and the rule of law. A lawyer and thought leader on constitutional rights, she has spearheaded high-impact litigation and public education initiatives on issues ranging from freedom of expression and privacy rights to government overreach and economic liberty.
A frequent contributor and commentator in Canadian and international media, Joanna is known for bringing clarity, conviction, and a principled pro-liberty voice to some of the most pressing debates of our time. She has appeared before parliamentary committees, on national broadcasts, and in leading publications to advance a vision of Canada rooted in liberty and individual dignity. She is co-author of the Globe and Toronto Star bestseller Pandemic Panic: How COVID-19 Changed Canadian Civil Liberties Forever.
Joanna holds degrees in law and philosophy from McGill University, Hebrew University of Jerusalem and St. John’s College and is deeply committed to strengthening Canada’s constitutional culture.
