Jack Confrey is an advisor to the Whetstone Freedom Fund and the Initiative for African Trade and Prosperity.

He also serves as Program Manager at the Center for Governance and Markets at the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to joining CGM, he was the Head of Partnerships at the Initiative for African Trade and Prosperity, where he focused on forging collaborations to promote free trade and property rights across Africa. He also served as the International Program Manager at the Institute of Economic Affairs in London (IEA), where he expanded the IEA’s global influence by managing strategic partnerships, overseeing the expansion of international programs, and launching the Whetstone Freedom Fund. Throughout his time in the policy world, he has led initiatives focusing on fundraising, marketing, and operations.
