Dr. Clyde Ray is Assistant Professor of Politics and Public Service at Holy Cross College in Notre Dame, Indiana. He is author of several books and articles on constitutionalism, the rule of law, and American political thought, including John Marshall’s Constitutionalism (SUNY Press) and Defining Statesmanship: A Comparative Political Theory Analysis (Rowman and Littlefeld). His forthcoming book is on rationales of constitutional obedience.
