Alessa Polga

Alessa Polga is a Venezuelan-Canadian Public Relations and Political Advisor for the Cuban, Nicaraguan, and Venezuelan communities in Canada, dedicated to fostering strategic relationships and addressing challenges affecting Latin Americans both in Canada and abroad.
Over the past decade, she has built strong connections within Canada’s political landscape, engaging with members of Parliament, the Senate, political advisors, and analysts at Global Affairs Canada. Her advocacy focuses on documenting crimes against humanity committed by the Venezuelan regime and exposing the weaponization of immigration as a modern form of warfare.
She currently leads the Toronto chapter of the Ladies of Liberty Alliance (LOLA) and previously headed the Canadian chapter of the Casla Institute for Human Rights in Latin America. Polga also served as Human Rights Director for the Canadian-Venezuelan Engagement Foundation. She has authored and co-authored several analyses on the Venezuelan crisis, including “Canada on the Right Side of the Venezuelan Crisis.”
Through her leadership and public engagement, Polga continues to amplify the voices of Venezuelan, Cuban, and Nicaraguan victims while raising awareness of human rights issues across the Americas.
