The World Anti-Extremism Network (WAEN) is honored to welcome David Teffaine, as our new Senior Fellow. In this role, David will focus primarily on researching and developing strategies to combat antisemitism, a core priority for WAEN in confronting global extremism.

David serves as a Trade Officer with the Government of Israel’s Ministry of Economy and Industry and has been based in Toronto, Ontario for nearly five years. As a Jewish Canadian, he is deeply committed to exploring practical and innovative approaches to addressing antisemitism facing communities worldwide.

He has also gained experience in banking, provincial government constituency services, and marketing, giving him a cross-sector perspective uniquely suited to tackling complex social and policy challenges. He brings three years of dedicated event planning experience, which he will leverage to convene discussions and initiatives that unite policymakers, community leaders, and civil society actors.

Beyond his professional achievements, David has demonstrated sustained civic engagement. He has served as Vice-President of the Toronto Foundation for Youth Involvement in Politics and contributed as a member of the Steering Committee of the Israel Policy Forum. These experiences underscore his commitment to democratic participation, informed dialogue, and responsible public leadership.

We are sure that David’s experience, integrity, and dedication to confronting antisemitism will meaningfully strengthen WAEN’s work. We look forward to the research, programming, and thought leadership he will contribute in the months ahead.

Please join us in welcoming David Teffaine to the World Anti-Extremism Network.
