Janet Bufton works as an educational consultant for EconLib Websites (a project of Liberty Fund), an English language editor for the Center for Indonesian Policy Studies, a program coordinator for the Institute for Liberal Studies, and has been published at Econlib, The Online Library of Liberty, Adam Smith Works, The Hub Canada, The UnPopulist, and Liberal Currents. She co-founded the Institute for Liberal Studies in 2006.

Ms. Bufton holds an M.A. in International Affairs from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University, where she focused on economic development and international trade policy, and undergraduate degrees in Honours Economics and Business Administration from the University of Windsor.
