Healing the World by Defending Freedom
In today’s world, the rise of extremism and authoritarianism poses significant challenges to democracies, freedom, and global security. These forces erode civil liberties, undermine fundamental freedoms, and threaten human rights, highlighting the urgent need for collective action and dialogue to protect democratic values.
The “Toronto Democracy Forum”, which is the annual conference of World Anti Extremism Network is taking place on November 24-25, 2024, in the vibrant city of Toronto, Canada. This groundbreaking international conference will convene keynote and well-known speakers, scholars, activists, and researchers from around the world to address some of the most pressing issues of our time: the rise of extremism, authoritarianism, and their detrimental effects on democracy and human rights and what we all can do to bring changes for a freer and more prosperous world.
With the theme “Healing the World by Defending Freedom & Countering Oppression,” this two-day event will provide deep insights into the complexities of modern-day challenges to democratic governance, the erosion of civil liberties, and the fight for human rights. Our aim is to create a powerful platform for dialogue, research, and action by bringing together democracy and freedom activists, scholars, and thought leaders from around the globe to generate solutions to counter extremism and authoritarianism.
Participants of the “Toronto Democracy Forum” will have a unique opportunity to engage with renowned experts, establish networks, hear first-hand accounts, and explore cutting-edge research on the intersection of democracy, extremism, and human rights violations—and how we can work together to counter the forces undermining democratic values.
November 24-25, 2024—Mark your calendars. The world is watching.
