Mohammad Ajmal Behmanish

Behmanish has obtained his Doctoral title (Ph.D.) in Social Sciences from the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany, and specializes in education/higher education, socialization and participation dynamics, and social inequalities with a regional focus on Afghanistan. His work involves qualitative and quantitative methodological investigations and capability-oriented approaches to examine how academic and social institutions reproduce social inequalities and stratification, shape political and intellectual trajectories, and/or institutional transformation.

During his doctoral studies, he contributed to academic discourse, assisted with teaching political theory and global governance, and mentored graduate students’ final projects. He also presented research findings at international conferences and submitted manuscripts to academic outlets.

In addition to that, he served in advisory roles in Afghanistan’s Ministry of Education and contributed to policy analysis, educational development projects, and worked closely with international organizations such as the World Bank, UNICEF, UNESCO, GIZ, USAID, and others.
