Dr. Patrick Mardini is the CEO of the Lebanese Institute for Market Studies (LIMS), a platform for research, collaboration, and innovation in economic policy. Under his management, LIMS became a major think tank in Lebanon with extensive media presence and the ability to deliver key economic reforms. The institute won several international awards and developed strong ties with like-minded international organizations engaged to promote freedom and prosperity.

His past experience includes 4 years of investor relations for Paris investment management company Modèles et Stratégies. He has 10 years’ experience at the University of Balamand as professor of economics and finance and was the manager of the Doctor of Business Administration program. The program is based on a partnership with the University of Lyon 3 in France that Dr. Mardini established when he initiated the program. He also served as the coordinator of the Finance Concentration at the business school.

Dr. Mardini completed his post-doctoral research at the Johns Hopkins Institute for Applied Economics, Global Health, and the Study of Business Enterprise. He holds a PhD in economics from Paris Dauphine University and a master’s degree in economic and financial engineering from the same university. He has several academic publications on the energy sector and monetary policy.
